Wow- I didn’t even realize I was a month behind on blogging. Time is just flying by. We’ve been so busy lately (in a good way!) and I’m so focused on my nephew being born that I forget what week I even am.
The hubby took me on a surprise getaway for our 5 year Anniversary. I had no idea where we were going but after being sick with allergies and a sinus infection for 2 straight weeks, I would have been happy in a hotel in Nashville for the weekend. I didn’t care where we went but he clearly had been hearing me say how much I’d been itching for a beach trip lately and that’s exactly where we went. We spent the weekend in Pensacola and it was the perfect little getaway with great weather. And we took it upon ourselves to name it a Kelijersary… because that’s just what we do! And I always love when my husband pulls out some moves like being able to put writing on a picture, because if you know him, you know he doesn’t do social media or anything like it!
The following weekend we headed to Atlanta to celebrate Alex and Kerry’s wedding. It took place at the neatest venue. It was basically living farm life in a cute community! This is the closets thing I got to a belly pic….
The little one traveled with us and had a ball with her daddy while I was busy with wedding stuff. They went swimming and played with all farm animals! It just makes us that much more excited to get a farm one day. She also was cutting a rug on the dance floor all night.
I personally enjoyed getting to spend some quality time with my girls. It’s not often that we are all able to get together like that anymore.
Jerrub and I have decided to make it a priority to get in the habit of dating more. We especially want to do this before Layton gets here so that hopefully it will be easier to pick back up after a couple weeks of adjusting! In the past, we didn’t get a babysitter unless we had specific plans in mind. It was that or we just waited till Grandma or Grammy were conveniently watching her and then decided to go out. However, I’ve heard over and over women talk about how they just set a babysitter for certain nights of the month and go on dates. So I decided to do it… just picked a random Monday and lined up a babysitter with no exact plans in mind. And I have to be honest, I was looking forward to that Monday night for like a week… it was really like we were dating all over again. I hope to keep this up and encourage other mamas to do the same!
And now here we are…
Weight Gain: 17 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Yes and Yes. However, a good friend gave me some LuLaRoe dresses as a gift and those are amazing non-maternity clothes!
Stretch Marks: Nope.
Sleep: I’ve been sleeping pretty good. Of course I just so happen to read that this is when insomnia typically kicks in so I feel like that’s going to be in the back of my head. We will see.
Best Moment of the Week: I don’t know if I’ve had a “Best” moment… We’ve enjoyed boat time with friends, watching the Predators in the Playoffs, play dates, park dates, and breakfast dates with friends, and Jerrub being home all day Tuesday!
Movement: I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned this or not already (we will blame it on the baby brain) but my placenta was in the front when I was pregnant with Raelynn. I felt movement but not near like I do now. It is the craziest and neatest thing to literally see my belly roll and move…and he is quite the mover!
Food Cravings: Not really.
Symptoms: I have heartburn real bad and lately I get this annoying cough after I eat or when I lay down because of the acid reflux. I don’t know if the cough is more annoying, or the fact that I have to cross my legs so I don’t pee every time I cough… oh how babies effect our bodies!
Miss Anything: Being able to breathe normal. Which is funny because I looked back at my posts when I was pregnant last time and said the same thing right around the same time. It’s just so weird to get out of breath so easily.
Wedding Ring On or Off: Off because I developed a reaction to it. Apparently hormones can do that. So I’m wearing a silicone ring in it’s place and not gonna lie, it’s kind of fun. Jerrub thinks I’m going to want to continue to wear it even after pregnancy.
Looking Forward To: Going to Memphis and meeting my nephew if he would ever decide to make his appearance. And then spending the week at the lake with my parents!
