Baby Hammrich: 28 Weeks

28 Weeks

* 28 Weeks*

Total Weight Gain: 18 pounds. This is the time they say the baby chunks up (and so do you if you’re not careful). I’m continuing to workout or walk every day and eat in moderation. I’ve found a good balance and plan to stick with it for the remainder of the pregnancy.

Maternity Clothes: All day, every day. I have worn a couple of maxi dresses that aren’t maternity. They are starting to become a little shorter in the front. I had to go up a size in underwear and bras… it happens! I also had to go buy a comfy razorback night gown to sleep in, because nothing else was comfortable. The only regular clothes I can still fit comfortably in are a tank top or two and one pair of workout shorts.

Stretch Marks: Not yet! I am starting to see the linea nigra come in a little bit.

Sleep: At night it’s about the same. My body basically wakes me up when I’m on my back (knowing I’m not supposed to be) so I roll over and fall right back asleep. That happens at least 5-6 times a night. For some reason, week 28 felt like the first trimester all over again. I was tired all throughout the day. I think I took a nap just about every day. But I’m already starting to get energy back during week 29.

New or Fun experience this week: I went to the lake with some friends and got to rock my maternity bathing suit for the first time.

Miss Anything: The spring weather. I have been sweating my butt off this past week. I know, I know…it’s only going to get hotter.

Food Cravings: Sweets! And it’s so not like me. I need to get a grip on that soon.

Anything make you queasy or sick: Nope!

Have you started to show yet: Yea buddy! I feel like my belly is huge….until I get around my best friend who is 7 weeks ahead of me, and then I quickly realize I still have a ways to go. It reminds me to enjoy the size I am while I can.

Belly Button In or Out: In.. but it’s still trying to peek out.

Complications: The medicine for my thyroid clearly helped because at my checkup it had gone from a 3.9 to a .045. (They want you around a 1) So now I’m off the medicine and hope to get that under control.

Happy or Moody: Happy! and emotional.

Looking Forward To: The couples’ baby shower!

oh…and I passed my glucose test!!!
