Please don’t skip breakfast! When you eat breakfast you are literally breaking the “fast” that our body was on all night. Some people think skipping breakfast will help them lose weight, but it actually aids in weight gain. By skipping breakfast, or any other meal for that matter, your body will store food as fat to replace missing food. It slows down your metabolism in effort to save energy and burn less calories. Breakfast is important for energy for your body, brain, & muscles. It kick starts your metabolism in the morning and aids in losing weight. It helps you to be more alert and promotes better eating habits throughout the day. EAT YOUR BREAKFAST!!!

Here are 5 health breakfast options:

1. Protein Pancakes : 1/4 cup low fat cottage cheese, 1/4 cup oatmeal, 1/2 banana, cinnamon, 1 egg. Blend together and heat in greased skillet. Top with sugar free syrup.

2. Breakfast Burrito: Low carb, high fiber tortilla shell, 2 pieces turkey bacon, spinach, 1 egg, 2 egg whites (scrambled), & salsa.

3. Shakeology: Chocolate Shakeology, PB2, Banana, ice, & almond milk.
